Privacy
This site is run by Sarah Murchú, trading as Build with Sarah. This page says what it collects, where that goes, and how to have it removed. Last updated 21 August 2026.
Your email, only if you give it
Every free resource on this site has two ways in. One asks for your email. The other hands you the resource with no email at all. If you take the second one, nothing about you is collected or stored.
If you do give me your email, I keep your email address and the name of the page you gave it on, so I can see which guides are worth writing more of. I do not ask for your name, and I do not collect anything else.
Where it goes and what I send
Your address is stored in Kit, the email platform I use to send my newsletter. It is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else.
I use it to send you my newsletter: what I am building, what I am researching, and practical information. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops it for good.
What your browser keeps
When you come through either route, your browser stores a single value called bws_unlocked so you are not asked again on the next page. It stays on your device, it is never sent to me, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Visitor numbers
I use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people read each page. In Vercel's own words it works "without using any third-party cookies, instead end users are identified by a hash created from the incoming request", that hash is "automatically discarded after 24 hours", and the recording of page views is anonymous.
What it records against each page view is the page, where you came from, your approximate location down to city level, and your device and browser. It does not identify you and I cannot tie any of it to a person.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, so your request passes through their servers to reach it.
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, and I will do it. The fastest route to deletion is the unsubscribe link in any email, which removes you from the list. If you would rather I erased the record entirely, ask and I will.
If you are in the EU or the UK and you think I have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Ireland that is the Data Protection Commission.
