The Business Brain
A small set of context files you add to a specific Claude Project, so Claude works with the right business context inside that one workspace.
It's project-specific context, not account-wide training. Build separate Business Brains for separate contexts: business, content, ops, client work, a launch. One per Project.
Important: This doesn't replace your judgment. It gives Claude the context it needs to be useful inside a specific project.
How it works
- Open Cowork (the desktop app).
- Paste the setup prompt below. It creates one folder with your five files inside.
- Work through the five sections one at a time. Claude interviews you and writes your answers into each file.
- Need a separate context (content, ops, a launch)? New project, same five files.
Copy-paste prompts
Paste this first in the desktop app. It sets up your folder and files, then Claude interviews you section by section.
1. Setup prompt
I'm building my Business Brain: a set of context files that give you the right context about my business so you can do real work for me. In this project, create one folder with these five files inside: - 01-about-my-business.md - 02-my-audience.md - 03-offers-and-pricing.md - 04-brand-voice.md - 05-current-priorities.md I'm going to give you a prompt for each section, one at a time. For each one, interview me. Ask questions, we go back and forth, and you write my answers into that file until the section is done. Then we move to the next. Confirm the files are created and wait for my first section.
2. Put it to work
Using everything in my Business Brain, create a piece of content for me: [name the asset, e.g. a lead magnet, a checklist, a week of posts]. Use my voice from 04-brand-voice and check it fits my current priorities.
Start with these 5 files

07-rules-of-engagement.md
Rules of Engagement
**How Claude should work inside this project:** - Ask clarifying questions when context is missing. Don't guess. - Don't invent offers, pricing, testimonials, or policies. If it isn't in these files, ask. - Use my voice (see 04-brand-voice), not generic AI language. - Default to clarity and usefulness over cleverness. - Default to practical, ready-to-use outputs. - Tell me when you're making an assumption, and what it is.
Tips
- Keep files short. Claude reads all of them. Dense files dilute what matters.
- Use real words. Paste actual customer quotes in file 02. Claude mirrors that language back.
- Update 05 often. Priorities change. The other core files stay mostly stable.
